Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account data: name and email address.

Identity verification: document and selfie checks are performed by Stripe Identity. We receive the verification result and session reference — we do not copy Stripe-hosted document or selfie images to our own storage. License and insurance files you separately upload for your rental are stored privately in the trip document system.

Agreements and private files: contract text, recipient, attachments, typed signature, account email, consent, timestamps and activity records. Uploaded filenames are retained to help you and operators identify documents. Signed records remain available in My documents.

Payment data: card details are collected and stored by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Trip data: vehicle, dates, pickup or delivery address, and location pins you set for delivery.

Club rewards: referral codes, referred booking status, points credits, adjustments and redemption records. When you use a referral link, a functional cookie retains its code for up to 30 days. If you create an account through that link, we save the referring code and signup time with your account so the referral remains available when you book later or on another device. Existing account-linked referrals are also retained. Clearing the browser cookie does not remove account attribution or reward records. Referrers earn on the friend’s first eligible trip only. Referred renters’ identities are not shown to the referring member.

Built-in statistics: daily totals for public page categories, selected button clicks, referral-link visits and sharing actions. We do not store raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs, query strings, browser fingerprints, advertising IDs or individual browsing histories in these statistics. We do not measure unique people or record sessions.

Optional applications: vehicle ownership and inspection details, condition photographs, partnership or membership interests, and auto-policy documents you submit for a coverage review. These documents are separate from Stripe Identity checks and are stored privately by us.

How we use it

To verify you are eligible to drive, to book and price trips, to review rental documents and vehicle condition, and to process payments and refunds.

To contact you about your trip — confirmations, changes, extensions, and incident follow-up.

To administer requested referral rewards, and to improve our site using aggregate statistics and anonymous session journeys. Use Your Privacy Choices to disable optional measurement. Global Privacy Control is respected. No third-party analytics provider receives our built-in event counters. Hosting providers may separately process technical request logs for security and service delivery; those logs are not our visitor analytics database.

Who we share it with

Stripe — payments and identity verification.

Vehicle data providers (Auto.dev, NHTSA) — to decode VINs. No personal renter data is sent to these services.

When enabled by the operator, Google (Analytics and Ads, through Google Tag Manager) and Meta receive sanitized page and booking-funnel events, including completed bookings; Meta may also receive a hashed email for a completed booking from our server. OpenAI receives page, vehicle, checkout-start and booking-button events to measure ads in ChatGPT and support future campaigns. When automatic advanced matching is enabled, its Pixel may detect contact information entered on the site, normalize and hash email, phone and name fields in the browser, and send the hashes and supported location fields with measurement events; raw contact values are not sent through that matching. OpenAI measurement uses attribution and browser-reference cookies with requested lifetimes of 30 days and 365 days; browser restrictions may shorten them. These services may process cookies, technical identifiers and network information. This advertising measurement may qualify as sharing under California privacy law. In the United States it is on by default and you can opt out at any time; elsewhere we ask before loading it.

Rental documents are available only to their uploader and authorized operators. Operator preparation photos are restricted to authorized operators and are not shared with renters. Public editorial photographs use a separate public store.

California residents (CCPA)

You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing team@trydayclub.com without creating an account. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account records. Applicable legal and insurance obligations may limit deletion.

Use Your Privacy Choices in the footer to opt out of sale or sharing, decline optional tracking or withdraw consent. We honor Global Privacy Control by disabling optional analytics and advertising. You can choose essential storage only and still use the rental service. Applicable rights include opting out of sale or sharing, and protection from discrimination for exercising those rights.

Data security & retention

Session cookies are signed and HTTP-only. The privacy-choice cookie lasts up to 180 days; the appearance preference stays in browser storage until removed. The functional referral cookie is HTTP-only and expires within 30 days. When measurement is allowed, a campaign cookie keeps only the labels of the ad or link that brought you (for example utm_source=meta, a campaign and ad name, the date) for up to 30 days, with no visitor ID; if you sign up or book, those labels are saved with the account or booking so we can see which campaigns lead to trips. First-party traffic aggregates and session steps cover up to 90 days and contain no raw IP address, email, name or form contents. A random first-party session ID connects pages, clicks, sections viewed, selected trip dates, checkout and successful account access within a visit. It resets after 30 minutes of inactivity; a browser timestamp distinguishes new and returning browser visits within 90 days. A booking can retain its originating session ID so the operator can distinguish a payment link from a server-confirmed payment. This does not identify the same person across devices. Old rows are pruned when new events are recorded.

Trip records are retained for accounting and insurance-claim purposes. Application documents are retained for review and any resulting contractual or legal needs. Contact us for a retention or deletion request. We do not automatically delete documents when an application changes status.

If European or UK data-protection law applies to your relationship with us, contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and consent-withdrawal rights. Service processing depends on the requested contract and relevant legal obligations; optional tracking uses regional permission controls. Built-in aggregate measurement defaults on for US visitors unless they opt out; for other or unknown regions, it stays off until allowed. External advertising tags follow these regional permission controls and remain disabled when you opt out or use Global Privacy Control. Provider processing may occur outside your location.
